Many, Many Words

Andrew is talking up a storm. Well he has been for a while but he has been putting word after word together over the past 2 months. He consistenly puts 2 words together and he is getting better at 3 words - "May I Please" being one phrase in particular.

His ablsolute favorite 2 words right now are - Big Truck! If you say HI to him and he is acting shy thats what he'll say - Big truck! All the while pointing out the window. Silly kid! Anyway here is a little video I took this morning. He cracks me up with "more chicken". He could could star in a Chic Fil-a commercial. ;) I also LOVE how he says his name. I know it sounds nothing like Andrew but it melts my heart bc he knows his name. Its the small things right?

*I had a hard time getting this video to load, so this link will take you to another page to watch it. Sorry about that!

From July & Aug 10

We live in a small town. A very small town. Andrew will begin school with the same people he will end school with. Im getting used to it. Im adapting, this is something Tim is very familiar with but like I said Im adapting. Im still making sure he gets some city in him too ;)

Anyway there was a "Cowboy Day" celebration this past weekend at a ranch close to the house and they held a little parade in town. & by little I mean literally a 3 minute parade. It consisted of a police car, firetrucks, horses, and a few tractors. I was just the right size for Andrews first parade. They even threw candy which he loved picking up off the sidewalk, with Pepa's help of course.

Planning has begun for Andrews 2nd Birthday. Of course with tradition he will get 2 parties. A small affair with Tims family, and another after we get home from Ohio. Im hoping to cut the guest list to just grandparents, and families with children Andrews age. Lets hope i can pull it off. Ive already ordered the invites that are beyond cute! Its a Tractor theme...and I cant wait to see his face!

Dan Nicholas Park

This is truly one of the neatest parks around. Ive never seen anything like it. & how lucky are we that its now 20 minutes away. I see many bday parties here when AT is older.....thankfully his bday will have cooler temps ;)

So for my birthday that was Monday I wanted to just spend the morning with my boys at the park. Doing something fun, come home have lunch, take a nap ;) Sounds perfect. Andrew had a blast just as I intended.

This park has so much but we only spent 8 dollars for all of us to see the animals, ride a few rides, and spend time together.....couldnt have been more perfect.

First up was the carousel.

Then we hit the toddler park...which Andrew loved.

Next we walked through the wildlife area, where Andrew was really amazed by some of the animals he saw.

Last but not least it was time to ride the train. This kid is in love with anything that has a motor and he was dying to ride the train. Thats why we saved it for last. But it wasnt all roses at first.

There was a pretty big line when we got there, unfortunately Andrew was one person short to get on the ride.....he had to wait for his turn.

This was his response.......

Daddy tried his best to make it all better.

Now its their turn...and they even got the first row seat.

Blowing mommy kisses as he came out of the tunnel.

It was a perfect morning.....but it was way too hot. Time to head home for the day....we all caught a good nap as thunderstorms rolled through.

Birthday picture with my boy. How on earht is he getting so big?

So it Continues

Summer that is. Tired of hearing about it? Well sorry its Andrew's life right now. Outside, outside, outside, with a few books, trucks and tractors thrown in.

He is really starting to get into books. We have to read at least 2 every night now bf bed. Its a good time to snuggle. From what I have learned they are pretty much reading all day at daycare. I think its a way for the kids to be held all day long ;) They are like little lap dogs when I go to pick him up. Oh well it could be worse right?

We had lots of fun over the last few weekends.

Ill begin with thte 4th.

Aunt Janice & Uncle Verlin from Indiana came down for a little visit. It was short but very good to see them both.

The 4th of July was spent on the boat....go figure right? Andrew is getting a little better at swimming. He also discovered that he likes pizza cold just like his daddy!

Then came the beach. We headed down on Wed and stayed 2 night with my dad and stepmom. We enjoyed parking the car, and not moving it for 2 days. We played, napped, and ate. Wash, rinse and repeat. We headed back on Friday and spent the rest of the weekend enjoying Daddy.

Sunday, Andrews friend Eli and his parents came to take the boat out. Eli is one big dare devil. He jumped off the boat like it was nothing. Im sure Andrew will follow suit eventaully.

Nothing much planned for the next few weekends, maybe a birthday party thrown in here and there, and of course there is the boat. For now we are just chasing our toddler and loving life!
